The Camp Fire Animals are still in need of our support through the worst devastation in Northern California history.

Dr McCollum as well as some of his patients, have been personally impacted by the Camp Fire and the loss of homes by both family and friends.

As an animal owner and lover himself he reached out to North Valley Animal Disaster Group, to ask how he could help. The help and support from local residents and businesses has been overwhelming for immediate needs, but there is concern about the future as NVADG expects to have animals in their care for a longer period of time than other disasters.

 

 

McCollum Family Chiropractic is proud to be partnering with North Valley Animal Disaster Group to help fundraise for the future needs of the Camp Fire animals, large and small, mammals, birds and reptiles who are in Shelters or “sheltered-in” the evacuation zone which is currently off limits except to organizations like North Valley Animal Disaster Group.

 

NVADG is a unique organization in Northern California.

The North Valley Animal Disaster Group (NVADG) was started in the summer of 2002 and is affiliated with the Butte County Public Health Department by resolution no. 04-173 of the Butte County Board of Supervisors.

It is not a government funded agency. There are no paid employees. There is no permanent animal shelter.

Neighborhood evacuations or evacuations of specific county areas, like the Camp Fire, leave animals unattended or in need of emergency assistance.

When their volunteer services are utilized by Butte County Public Health Department Animal Control, NVADG is authorized under the following conditions: Evacuation of animals impacted by wildfire, floods, hazardous materials incidents and declared disasters.

North Valley Animal Disaster Group was activated by Butte County Animal Control to help those animals stranded without care and feeding by the Camp Fire.
